The STOL CH 801 Quick-Build Kit provides
maximum pre-assembly of kit parts to save the builder valuable time and to
simplify assembly.
Nearly all major components have been pre-aligned with rivet holes
pre-drilled: Once clecoed together in jigs, most sections are then taken
apart again for easy shipping and final re-assembly by the builder. The
fuselage and tail sections are riveted together, and the wings are taken
apart again for easy shipping and final re-assembly by the builder.

The STOL CH 801 kit, whether the
standard kit or quick-build kit, is made up of the same
quality parts. The difference between a standard and quick-build kit is
the level of assembly of the various kit components. Assembly time with
a Quick-Build Kit is projected to be 50% less than with the standard
kit!

The STOL CH 801
Quick-Build Kit provides maximum pre-assembly of the standard kit
parts to save the builder valuable time and to simplify assembly.
The complete airframe has been pre-jigged with nearly all parts
pre-aligned and all holes pre-drilled. The fuselage and horizontal
tail sections are riveted together and the wings are pre-assembled. |
While the standard kit is developed to
provide all the kit parts and components needed to complete the aircraft at
the lowest cost possible, the fast build kit provides maximum
pre-assembly of the kit parts allowed under the "51% rule," to save the
builder valuable time.
Zenith kits are eligible for licensing in the
Canadian Homebuilt category. This means that at least 51% of the work
remains for the kit builder to perform, whether building from the standard
kit or the quick-build kit.
Accelerated Build Workshop:
Can-Zac Aviation has available an
Accelerated Workshop for the STOL CH 801 Quick Build Kit to
allow the builder to complete his tail surfaces and wings at a builder
assistance facilities in Ontario. Upon completion of the Quick Build
Workshop the kit owner will have approximately 90% of the airplane
completed, and the owner can then elect to finish the airplane at the
facilities or to take it home. For more information, contact
Can-Zac Aviation Ltd.

The
Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) will have determined that the quick build kit, as evaluated, will meet
the intent of
14 Code
of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 21, Section 21.191(g). Note that the
FAA evaluation should not be construed as meaning the kit is FAA certified,
certificated or approved, but is eligible for airworthiness certification by
amateur builders. Transport Canada has stated that anything in the U.S. 51%
rule is acceptable in Canada
